Personal Information

CP JAPAN may ask you to submit your personal data such as your name, email address, address, and telephone number when you make an inquiry or a comment on any article, or when CP JAPAN provides you with any service.

Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The personal data thus submitted is used only to: provide services; improve the quality of the services; respond to inquiries from users and provide the users with necessary information per email or any other way; do advertisement, announcement, and sales promotion activities; and contact job applicants, and shall not be used for any purpose other than those given above.

Upon request by a user for disclosure of personal data on the basis of the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act, CP JAPAN discloses personal information to the user without delay after confirming that the request is made by the user himself/herself (if the personal information requested does not exist, the user shall be notified of that effect). Note that this does not apply to the case where CP JAPAN bears no obligation to the disclosure under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.

Management of Personal Information

CP JAPAN stringently controls personal information submitted by users and takes preventive measures for the loss, crash, falsification, breach, and the like of the personal information. The personal information is transmitted using secure sockets layer (SSL) encryption or any equivalent security technology to ensure security from unauthorized access by a third party.

Correction, Suspension of Use, etc., of Personal Information

Upon request by a user for the correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "correction, etc.") of the content of personal data on the basis of the Personal Information Protection Act for the reason that the content of the personal data is untrue, CP JAPAN conducts necessary inspections without delay after confirming that the request is made by the user himself/herself, except for when a specific procedure is set forth under the provisions of other laws and regulations, and based on a result of the inspection, CP JAPAN makes the correction, etc. on the content of the personal data and notifies the user of that effect.

Upon request by a user for the suspension of use or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") of personal data for the reason that the personal data is handled beyond the purpose of use which have been announced in advance or that the personal data is collected by wrongful means, CP JAPAN conduct necessary inspections without delay after confirming that the request is made by the user himself/herself, and based on a result of the inspection, CP JAPAN imposes the suspension of use, etc. of the personal data and notifies the user of that effect. Note that this does not apply to the case where the suspension of use, etc. of the personal data requires a large amount of expense or cannot be imposed for any other reason and a necessary measure alternative to the suspension of use, etc. is taken to protect rights and interests of the user himself/herself.
